UKAS is the sole national body recognised by the UK government for assessing the competence of testing organisations.  This involves an ongoing assessment of analytical procedures and quality management systems by an independent team of experts.

Test methods have been assessed for compliance with BS1377, the British standard for soil testing.  The quality management system has been accredited for compliance with ISO17025, the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
